Syria has agreed to work with Jordan and Iraq for the next month to help identify the sources of drug production and smuggling within its borders, according to a final statement issued on Monday after a meeting of Arab diplomats in Amman.

The statement said Damascus had agreed to "take the necessary steps to end smuggling on the borders with Jordan and Iraq" after the foreign ministers of Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Jordan discussed ways to end Syria's 12-year conflict.
