Over 10,000 free tickets are available every day for the public to enjoy various exhibitions in Beijing this month. Visitors can make a reservation online. The tickets will be offered until June 2.

The cultural market at the China Railway Museum is among the highlights of the month-long itinerary. Running under the banner, "Cultural Relics, Creativity, Life," it treats visitors to a range of exhibitions, artistic performances, forums and lectures, and immersive experiences. The Palace Museum, the National Museum of China, the Capital Museum, and other institutions have arranged special cultural products at the market, which runs until May 3.

International Museum Day was established in 1977 to raise public awareness of the role museums play in social development, as well as to provide more opportunities for those in the museum industry to communicate with one another.
