More than 100,000 refugees have now crossed from Sudan to neighboring countries to escape the conflict that erupted last month, Olga Sarrado, spokesperson at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, told reporters at a briefing in Geneva on Tuesday.

Jens Laerke, spokesperson for the Office for the UN Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, also said that the UN's 2023 aid appeals for Sudan were $1.5 billion short and only 14 percent funded.
