A Panama-flagged oil tanker was seized by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Strait of Hormuz early on Tuesday, the U.S. Navy said, the second such incident in less than a week. 

"A dozen IRGCN fast-attack craft swarmed the vessel in the middle of the strait," a statement said, referring to IRGC Navy. 

Iran's Tasnim News Agency also confirmed that a foreign oil tanker was seized by the IRGC but said no further information has yet been released by the authority.
