Several Chinese cities have witnessed a sharp rebound in tourism during this year's Labor Day holiday, with pent-up demand released following the end of pandemic curbs late last year. China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on Wednesday that a total of 274 million domestic trips were made nationwide during the Labor Day holiday in 2023, surpassing 2019.
