Confucius Temple, known as "Fuzimiao" in Chinese, is the former site of the Imperial Examination Hall, located in the south of Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, eastern China. According to legend, it was where Confucius was sacrificed, so in ancient times, candidates came the temple to pray for good luck in their imperial examinations. Now a popular tourist attraction with pedestrian shopping streets, it is also place where people pray for good fortune in their schooling.
