The South China Sea is a shared home for countries in the region rather than a hunting ground for the countries outside it, Mao Ning, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said in Beijing on Thursday. She made the remarks while responding to a press query on the Mutual Defense Treaty between the U.S. and the Philippines, and the South China Sea issue.
