U.S. tech sanctions: Will China be denied the 'right to develop'?

The U.S. can't sit on the top of a tree and cut the trunk beneath itself. Most semiconductors are made in East Asia, so tech sanctions on China will eventually negatively impact the U.S. itself, said Vijay Prashad. Apple phones are produced in China. American tech giants make money not on production but on their patents. Now, Apple is likely to face an existential threat when the Chinese have made as good, if not better, phones for lower prices. That's why the U.S. tries to impose pressure on China, saying, "stop developing." But Chinese people do have the right to develop. They're not going to sit down when they have stood up.
