China's State Council has deliberated and adopted a guideline on accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing clusters, according to a State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Qiang on Friday.
The meeting also made arrangements on speeding up the construction of charging infrastructure to better promote new energy vehicles in rural areas and to boost rural revitalization.
The development of advanced manufacturing clusters is an important tool to promote industries to the middle and high end, and to enhance the supply chain resilience and security of the industrial chain, which is beneficial to the formation of collaborative innovation, talent concentration, cost reduction and more efficiency, as well as the scale effect and other competitive advantages, the meeting said.
Accelerating the construction of charging infrastructure not only promotes the purchase and use of new energy vehicles, but also boosts the development of rural tourism and other new industries, adding new impetus to rural revitalization, according to the meeting.
The meeting called for further optimizing policies to support the purchase and use of new energy vehicles, encourage enterprises to increase the supply of new energy vehicles, while strengthening safety supervision and promoting the healthy development of the new energy vehicle market in rural areas.
