This year's May 6 marks the "Start of Summer," or Lixia, the seventh of 24 solar terms, and summer is the main stage for the singer – cicada.
What do cicadas have to go through before we hear their chirping? On May 4, a photographer in Zhongshan City, south China's Guangdong Province, filmed the whole process of a cicada molting. It shed its old brown color skin and showed up in a bright green "outfit," as if it was readying to join the chorus in summer.
