The International Olympic Committee's Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) and China Media Group (CMG) have signed a memorandum of understanding in Beijing, establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism.
CMG has been officially invited to be one of the main broadcasters for the Paris Olympic Games, responsible for producing international public signals for four major events: gymnastics, table tennis, badminton and sport climbing. CMG will deploy a production and broadcasting team of over 2,000 people and utilize "5G+4K/8K+AI" technology to deliver high-quality coverage to a global audience.
At the signing ceremony on Saturday, IOC President Thomas Bach stated that CMG is one of the most important media partners of the International Olympic Committee worldwide, and its support for the development of the Olympic movement is significant. He said this partnership aims to promote the Olympic spirit, particularly among young viewers, and showcase the unique charm of these sports events.
