About 100 million juvenile fishes were released into the Beibu Gulf on Saturday from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The release was part of a series of similar events, jointly held by China and Vietnam since 2017 in the area aiming to enhance protection and sustainable development of fishery resources. The fry included yellowfin seabream, one of the most popular commercial fishes in both countries. Fishermen from both countries depend on the Beibu Gulf for a living.
