The U.S. move of selectively imposing economic sanctions around the world is likely to hinder global economic development, said a South African economist. Anthony Black, a professor at the University of Cape Town School of Economics, said sanctions imposed by major economies like the United States on other countries will bring negative impacts on world economy.
