Emergency workers raced to fix a breached levee in east China's Jiangxi Province, where torrential rainfall over several days led to swollen rivers and flooding. They conducted repairs overnight to reduce the impact of the bad weather on downstream villages. The breach occurred between piers on the Beijing-Kowloon Railway bridge. As of midnight, workers had done a filling of 15 meters upstream to the breach. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway is currently in smooth operation.
