At least 7 people have been killed in southern Texas when a car slammed into a crowd waiting at a bus stop outside a migrant aid center. Police said the gray SUV went through a red light and ran over several people at around 8:30 a.m. in the city of Brownsville on May 7. Law enforcement said they are treating the incident as an accident for now, though a witness said the driver yelled insults at the group before accelerating. Police say an investigation is underway.
