Australian scholar Maureen Huebel has faced online bullying and had her account blocked after questioning Western comments on Xinjiang. In an interview, along with her husband, with CGTN's Liu Xin, she dismissed the anti-China narratives popular in the West. "At the moment, Australia seems to be the follower, the child that has to listen to a master or the parent, and they're looking to America to be that parent. Now, Australia needs to create its own identity," she said.
