First Northeast Asia Cultural and Art Expo held in Harbin

The First Northeast Asia Cultural and Art Exposition kicked off in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. Cultural institutions and enterprises from Russia, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, North Korea and 15 other countries and regions brought their products to showcase to Chinese visitors. The expo runs until May 10, highlighting new products, techniques, art and creative designs.

It includes eight main exhibition areas, featuring many fascinating artworks and products. For example, the "Culture + Art" area demonstrates Russian 5D copyright oil paintings, public art sculptures and other works created by more than 1,000 Russian experts in the art field. Mongolian leather paintings, North Korean oil paintings and other artworks are also on display.

At the "Cultural + Tourism" area, exhibitors from Japan and Brazil show videos, posters and brochures introducing their respective countries and cultures to visitors, as well as promote cultural exchanges and other activities to Chinese attendees. Furthermore, some famous tourism brands from Germany and France have been showcasing their tourism equipment and outdoor products to offer a comfortable travel experience to clients.

Animation lovers can find many brand-new cartoons, mobile games and animation-related products at the "Culture + Originality" area. Meanwhile, a slew of technological products and projects, such as virtual reality (VR) education, fire drill training systems, intelligent robots, and multiple new applications are presented in the "Culture + Technology" area.

What's more, this exposition provides a great opportunity for students to learn about some world-famous universities. During the exhibition, staff from Romania's Transilvania University are using VR devices to introduce their university, academic achievements and Romanian attractions.

International and local universities in China's Harbin can attend academic exchanges for the purpose of collaboration and communication during the expo.
