Huanghua Port in Hebei Province has opened new regional trade routes connecting the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou with the Japanese regions of Kanto and Kansai. Annual cargo throughput, excluding coal, at the port topped 102.3 million tonnes in 2022, representing an annual increase of 17.83 percent. The deep-water hub port is also conducive to the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It has been a key part in the relocation of relevant industries and the development of the Xiong'an New Area.
