Several Chinese white dolphins were spotted in waters near Gulang Island in Xiamen City, southeast China's Fujian Province, on Friday.
Chinese white dolphins, under first-class state protection in China, inhabit coastal waters. They are frequently seen in waters off Xiamen between March and September. In recent years, with the ecological environment of waters here continuing to improve, the number of Chinese white dolphins has increased steadily.
