The talks between representatives of the Sudanese Army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Saudi coastal city of Jeddah resumed on Sunday and will continue in the coming days, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said on Monday in a statement.
The pre-negotiation talks started in Jeddah on May 6.
In Monday's statement, the Saudi ministry said the two parties "agreed that they bear a heavy responsibility to help alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people" and discussed security measures to facilitate the delivery of emergency humanitarian assistance and the restoration of essential services in Sudan.
