Uzbekistan sets date for early presidential election before July 9

An early election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been scheduled before the deadline, for July 9, 2023, according to a government statement published on Monday.
Earlier this day, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a constitutional law allowing the head of state to call early presidential elections.
