Margaret Harris, a WHO spokesperson, reminds us that we cannot let our guard down and must continue to take measures to control the virus. The Chinese National Health Commission also stated on May 8 that the threat of the virus still exists and measures will continue to be implemented, with some areas in the country seeing a slight increase in cases during the May Day holiday.
