Around 30,000 people have been told to leave their homes in Alberta, as 94 wildfires were burning across the province as of May 8, including 27 considered out of control. On the same day, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said she spoke with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and requested help, including military support, from the federal government.
