CGTN Poll: Over 80% of global netizens highly applaud Chinese brands

May 10 is the seventh "China Brand Day." In recent years, Chinese brands have been racing to go abroad, and their international influence has been increasing. According to a poll conducted by CGTN for global internet users, more than 80 percent (84 percent) of the respondents highly recognized Chinese brands and were confident in their development potential.

Nowadays, more and more Chinese brands are entering the daily life of people in different countries. From daily necessities to high-end equipment products, Chinese products have complete categories and fine quality. According to the poll, up to 88.9 percent of the respondents have used products and services from Chinese brands, and 80 percent of the users are very satisfied with the using experience. A netizen left a message saying, "From the mobile phone in my hand, to the clothes and furniture, all of them are Chinese products."

Looking at the history of Chinese brands exported overseas, one can tell that Chinese brands have experienced the development process from manufacturing to creation, from low end to high end. Especially in recent years, high-tech products, such as new energy automobiles, smart watches and home appliances, and artificial intelligence equipment, have gained popularity abroad. A netizen left a message saying, "The continuous breakthrough of Chinese brands in the field of high technology has brought great competitiveness for Chinese products to the world": 93.1 percent of the respondents held the same view, and 93.6 percent believed that the rapid growth of Chinese companies is greatering the influence of Chinese brands.

A total of 145 Chinese companies are listed in the 2022 list of the world's top 500 companies, ranking first in the world. Chinese companies on the list account for nearly one-third of the total revenue of all Top 500 companies. The strength of Chinese brands has increased thanks to the quality and efficiency of Chinese companies in technological innovation, product upgrading and service improvement.

According to the poll, 92.6 percent of the global respondents believe that the rapid growth of Chinese brands will bring strong impetus to the high-quality development of the Chinese economy; and 81.3 percent of the respondents expressed that they would prefer Chinese brand products in the future, expecting Chinese brands benefiting people in all countries in the future.

The poll was released on CGTN's English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Russian platforms, with over 81,189 people voting within 24 hours.
