More than 200 pieces of embroidery from the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) dynasties have been put on display in Wuhan. The show features the four famous Chinese embroidery traditions of Su, Xiang, Yue and Shu, as well as works produced in the style of ancient courts. A 3-meter-long banner made from golden thread that served as a birthday greeting to Tang Dynasty (618–907) general Guo Ziyi has drawn much attention at the exhibition, along with waistcoats and embellishments worn by court officials.
