Qiandao Lake a glittering gem of biodiversity in Hangzhou

Lush islands dot the sparkling Qiandao Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, as boats leave ripples in their wake. As China's largest man-made lake, it forms part of a scenic area that is also the country's largest forest park. The thick foliage contributes to the 93% forest coverage rate and features over 1,700 plant species. The lake has been classified as a national first-class water body.
