CGTN

Rising 18 meters up from the plains, the two faceless Colossi of Memnon, originally representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt, easily catch the eyes of any visitors to the ancient city of Thebes. Both of the statues were carved from single blocks of sandstone.
