Independent current affairs commentator Einar Tangen points out that borrowing money to repay huge debt is a pure Ponzi scheme. The trouble with ballooning U.S. debt has long existed, and confidence in the dollar is in jeopardy. Tangen says Democrats and Republicans are "all gearing up for the 2024 elections - who can blame who for what's going to go bad - but no one has a plan how to do better."
