Young scientists from around the world are in a race to design the most innovative space experiments. Their work is on show at the first International Space Science and Scientific Payload Competition, which wraps up on Friday in the southern city of Foshan.
To date, 116 teams from over 30 countries have participated in the event. Among them, 30 projects made it into the finals. The competition is seen as an entry-level search for ideas and talents that could become useful for China's own space station in the future.
