Twelve people including one teacher were hospitalized after a ceiling collapsed at a gymnasium at an elementary school in the southern South Korean city of Yeosu, Yonhap news agency reported Friday. 

Around Friday noon, a part of the structure inside the ceiling of the school gymnasium fell onto the floor when teachers and students were rehearsing for performances on the stage, the report said.
