Nowruz celebration in Kazakhstan

Nowruz, meaning "new day," marks the first day of spring and the renewal of nature. It is usually celebrated across Central Asia on March 21. The festival was inscribed in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009. In Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, residents enjoy themselves during the celebrations by dancing, singing and having delicious food.
