Two helicopters crashed in Russia's Bryansk region bordering Ukraine on Saturday, TASS news agency reported, citing emergency services.

A Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Bryansk's Klintsy district, killing two crew aboard, the report said, adding that preliminary information indicated the helicopter's engine had caught fire before the crash.

The second accident came around one hour later as a Su-34 fighter jet went down in the same region.

"The fate of those on board is being established," a source from emergency services told TASS on the second crash.
