A magnitude-5.6 earthquake struck off the coast of Hachijojima in Japan at 4:12 p.m. local time on Sunday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The agency said two magnitude-5.9 earthquakes struck the area later, adding that there is no need to worry about the damage.
