Fierce battles continue in the Sudanese capital Khartoum. There's little sign the warring sides are respecting the agreement to protect civilians ahead of ceasefire talks due to resume in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. The monthlong conflict has killed hundreds of people, sent more than 200,000 into neighboring states, and displaced another 700,000 inside the country. Food aid programs have been halted. Medical charity Doctors Without Borders says displaced people in a large camp in north Darfur are cutting down to one meal daily.
