Wooden fishing boats were crushed, and buildings flattened in Myanmar's Khaung Doke Khar village, northwest of Sittwe, as a result of Cyclone Mocha which barreled through the Bay of Bengal.
The death toll from the cyclone rose as contact was slowly restored in western Myanmar. At least 41 people were killed, AFP reported, citing local authorities.
