Zibo City in east China's Shandong Province has seen its daily visitor numbers increase to almost 130,000 since March. In fact, in that month alone, the city received about 4.8 million visitors, all because of one thing – barbecue. The "Zibo phenomenon" has sparked a surge in local tourism and business opportunities, which has influenced China's post-COVID-19 economic boom.
