Recently, a few Chinese paradise flycatchers were seen feeding their hatchlings in woods in Jixi County, east China's Anhui Province.

The birds come to the county every May to nest, mate and breed. They won't leave their breeding nests for wintering grounds until July when the chicks are able to fly long distance.

The male birds are either white or rufous with long tail feathers, while the females are only in rufous morph with tails relatively shorter than the male's.
