A new satellite for the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) was launched from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday. It is the first of its kind launched since July 2020, when the BDS began providing full-scale global services. Yang Changfeng, chief architect of the navigational system, spoke to CGTN about what the new satellite will bring, how it has improved, and how a future "space-time" system will serve the world and beyond.
