Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday held talks in Xian with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, who began his state visit to China earlier in the day.

President Xi warmly welcomed President Tokayev to China for the China-Central Asia Summit and a state visit. Xi expressed his pleasure at hosting President Tokayev and wished him a happy birthday. The Kazakh president turned 70 on Wednesday.
