The United Nations Security Council held its 9325th meeting on Thursday on the transfer of arms to Ukraine. Chinese Ambassador Geng Shuang said that the constant feeding of weapons to the battlefield will only lead to escalation; cause more civilian casualties and displacement; make it harder to start peace negotiations; and render a ceasefire more elusive.
