The Independence Monument is a landmark structure in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The design of this building was inspired by traditional Turkmen tents and the traditional headgear worn by Turkmen girls. There are exhibition halls inside the monument; and many important art pieces representing the history of the country are displayed.
