The China-Central Asia Summit will serve as an important platform in opening up greater prospects for long-term cooperation and development between China and the Central Asian countries in various fields, according to a senior media figure from Kazakhstan.

Serik Korzhumbayev, editor-in-chief of the Delovoy Kazakhstan newspaper, a leading Kazakh publication, has been reporting on the two-day summit in northwest China's Xian City and noted the significance of the summit coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), making it of vital importance to countries across the region.
