The first China-Central and Eastern Europe International Regatta kicked off in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province, on May 20. Twenty-two teams and more than 200 professional players from all over the world gathered at Dongqian Lake.

Ningbo has a sea area of 8,355.8 square kilometers, a coastline of 1,678 kilometers, an island coastline of 759 kilometers and a deepwater coastline of 170 kilometers. It can carry out water activities for more than 300 days a year, making it one of the earliest cities in China to carry out maritime sports.
