At least nine people were killed and dozens injured when stampeding soccer fans pushed through one of the access gates at a quarterfinal match in the Salvadoran league on Saturday. In a preliminary report via Twitter, the National Civil Police confirmed the deaths at the match between Alianza and FAS at Monumental Stadium in the central department of Cuscatlan.
