A collection of classical arts depicting the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was unveiled in a ceremony in Beijing on Monday.

The event celebrating the publication of the album, dubbed "The CPC history in classical arts," was attended by Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG), Wang Xiaozhen, CMG's vice president, and Wu Shulin, standing vice chairman of Chinese Publishing Association, among others.

The album combines graphics and texts with videos to tell a Chinese story that elucidates the spirit of the time and inherits a cultural mission, Wang said at the ceremony.

Wu praised the collection for having pushed art publications to a new height. It is a valuable practice of promoting, studying and explaining classical CPC artworks, he said.

He called on publishers to actively explore the patterns of art publications, exert the strengths of art publications and push the Chinese culture outward so that it makes more contributions to the world.
