02:28

A report released by China says the land temperature in most parts of the world in 2022 were close to or higher than that in normal years. Some regions were exposed to a temperature increase of over 1°C. A WHO report says there is a 66% chance that the world will exceed the 1.5°C threshold for at least one year between 2023 and 2027. Yu Xiang, director of Research Institute for Eco-Civilization at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, says that thresholds of temperature change will lead to the extinction of some species.
