The governor of Russia's Belgorod region said on Monday that at least three people had been injured and three houses and a local administrative building damaged during a cross-border attack from Ukraine.
The governor earlier said via Telegram that a Ukrainian 'sabotage group' had entered Russian territory in the Graivoron district, which borders Ukraine, and was being repelled by Russian forces. But Mykhailo Podolyak, a senior aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said Kyiv had nothing to do with the attack.
