Mount Qomolangma, at an elevation of 8,848.86 meters, the world's highest peak, is hailed as the "Third Pole of the Earth." The complex geological environment has formed varied landforms and biological diversity in the area. Distinctive snowy mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, glaciers, as well as rare animals and plants constitute harmonious pictures, fascinating photographers, mountaineers and scientific expediters from home and abroad.
