Germany said on Tuesday it had summoned the Turkish ambassador in Berlin in a tit-for-tat move after Ankara complained last week that two of its reporters had been detained in Frankfurt.
"The Turkish ambassador was told when he was summoned today that the German government firmly rejects the accusations of the Turkish government regarding freedom of speech and the press as well as the judiciary in Germany," the foreign ministry tweeted.
