Rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI), such as OpenAI's ChatGPT, have caused data security and other concerns in many countries. European Parliament lawmakers just approved an AI Act, making it closer to becoming law. On May 16, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, called on U.S. lawmakers to regulate AI.
